Enjoying Alpacas Day – May 2017

Rare opportunity to spend time – up close – to these lovely animals and find out more about them. 

Welsh Valley Alpacas is a medium sized herd with a range of females, males and youngsters in a very beautiful hidden valley just north of Swansea.

Steve Heatherington is an experienced alpaca shepherd who will delight you with his stories, knowledge and passion for these amazing creatures from South America.

The day will include an introductory session, several farm walks and plenty of time for questions and photos. It’s a working farm with muddy, uneven and sometimes steep tracks, so do wear comfortable outdoor clothes and appropriate footwear (eg wellies or walking boots) and bring waterproofs for the Welsh weather. It includes a fresh farmhouse lunch, Coaltown Coffee and homemade cakes. Numbers are limited to 12 so that everyone has a chance to get involved.
