Welsh Valley Alpacas is run by Steve & Sue Heatherington. We are experienced breeders having been developing our herd since 2008.
If you are thinking of keeping your own alpacas we can help you ask the right questions.
We have alpacas for sale and provide support and services to exisiting and prospective alpaca owners. We also run courses to explore what is involved in keeping alpacas, basic husbandry and a more advanced programme known as The Alpaca Shepherd – (details of our last Alpaca Shepherd course)
We began with 5 pregnant females and currently (as of Summer 2017) we have a herd of 37.
The farm is situated in a valley just north of Swansea and only a few miles from junction 46 of the M4 – the middle of nowhere with easy access to elsewhere.
The valley used to be the site of a Victorian reservoir which served Swansea. Lots of slopes and springs but the alpacas seem to like it.
You can find travel directions here and to see the location of the end of the road – just follow it up for half a mile.
